When I lived with my family in Luftenberg an der Donau, not far from our apartment stood the old Ederhäul. Despite the fact that the house resembled a ruin, it fascinated me and when I imagined what a magnificent house it must have been. From year to year, the decay was more evident.
In 2018, I decided to photograph the house. This shot was also the start of the Ruins project. Since then, I photograph and document similar houses in the districts of Perg, Urfahr-Umgebung and Freistadt.
At the place where the Ederhäusl on the Haid stood for more than 300 years, there is today (summer 2021) a building site.
